About EHi

INTRODUCTION

Organization Overview

Empowering Hands Initiative (EHi) is a Community Based Organization that is not-for-profit; Empowering Hands Initiative is registered and incorporated with the Jinja District NGO Monitoring Committee. The formation of EHi was born out of a deep conviction by highly motivated community members to respond to the plight of the community whose populations are suffering from hunger, disease, unemployment, and massive poverty. Key main concerns among the youths in the project catchment area are the lack of jobs for graduates and other out of school youths; grassroots dissemination of reproductive health services for women and youth; hunger; and the huge number of adolescent youths who are silently battling with abuse of drugs, and hence being economically unproductive.
